Glenavon House Hotel is a 62 bedroom hotel, renowned in Northern Ireland for its state of the art conference centre, private leisure complex, bars and restaurants and expansive wedding facilities
The hotel invited C3 to review their systems ahead of GDPR. Their unsecured email had little spam protection, and their existing firewall did not support GDPR compliance. Additionally, their lack of email and calendar synchronisation created inefficiencies for the team. They were also frustrated by storage limitations that resulted in full inboxes and sluggish desktop performance.
As a priority, we installed a GDPR-compliant firewall to establish a secure platform for all virtual traffic. To increase manageability, we created a system to divide the network into separate areas before migrating all accounts to Microsoft Office 365 to enable harmonised communications. We added spam protection to defend against inbound email threats and 2FA software to repel unauthorised Microsoft 365 access. Finally, we upgraded all PCs to new high-performance machines, increasing productivity.
All work was completed on time with no disruption to business operations.
